The Duo Jouan Laurent and Stéphane were awarded the gold medal and the Prix du Cycle de Perfectionnement from the Conservatoire de Toulon in the class of Méré Masuda (a former student of Pierre Sancan at the Conservatoire de Paris).
Laurent then received guidance from Thérèse Dussaut (Grand Prix de l'ARD de Munich) at the Conservatoire de Toulouse, as part of her advanced perfectionnement et d’interprétation class.
Stéphane studied with Bernard d'Ascoli (Leeds laureate, 1st Prize Maria Canals de Barcelone) in Aubagne.
The Duo Jouan has since performed at numerous festivals (Promenades Musicales de Salon-de-Provence, Nuits du Parvis de Saint-Maximin-la-Sainte-Baume…), and by invitation to musical seasons (Musicà Saint-Tronc in Marseille, Mouvement des Arts d'Hyères, Accueil Musical de Saint-Merry Paris…).
