Longitude Loire

Aaron, a kind of contemporary Don Quixote, has decided to save the Loire, which is suffering from drought and pollution, amidst (almost) general indifference. The story of this painter is also the story of the river, both poetic and full of challenges.

It unfolds from the source to the estuary and allows us, as we descend, to apprehend our relationship with living things differently and to consider the Loire as a being in its own right.

Musically retracing the course of the river: a musical thread as a witness to the trickle of water that starts from the source… a thick atmosphere to illustrate the depth of the dams… and then the tumultuous course of a capricious river… the mystery of intoxication when the river meets the vineyards and their wines… the floods, shifting geometries of a nomadic horizon… finally the power of an estuary.

Cello, sounds recorded on the Loire, and electronic music make this show almost a concert. For all audiences aged 10 and up. Duration 1h10
