Projet Socrate : performance pluridisciplinaire par la compagnie des Marlins

Compagnie des Marlins invites you to the presentation of its Projet Socrate, a multidisciplinary artistic adventure combining writing, drawing, and theatre.

Based on the honest texts written by the women of the Périchaux senior club, the artists of Compagnie des Marlins wanted to theatrically explore their counterpoint, dishonesty, focusing on tyrannies encountered in politics as well as in our intimate lives: family, work, sport… In a multidisciplinary approach, Compagnie des Marlins invites you to first discover the texts written by women attending the Périchaux senior club during an exhibition of drawings that Solène Pitaud created in echo to the writing workshops. Free admission exhibition from November 12 to 22 on the ground floor of the media library. On Saturday, November 14, at 4 PM, the company presents a theatrical performance collectively created with actor Soriba Dabo, actress Aurélie Messié, and the women of the Périchaux senior club, orchestrated by author and director Maryline Klein. Born in August 2015 from the projects of author and director Maryline Klein, Les Marlins address all current topics they deem necessary to bring to the public sphere, creating everywhere and for all audiences. The company creates tailor-made works, sometimes taking alternative routes, allowing itself to create flamboyant one-shots in magnificent national monuments steeped in history, or in the heart of a neighbourhood in public spaces, or even in places of deprivation of liberty.
