Exposition : Agatha Christie et le voyage

To commemorate the 50th anniversary of Agatha Christie's death, we are offering an exhibition through the lens of travel, in collaboration with the specialised libraries of the City of Paris.

This exhibition is an opportunity to follow in the footsteps of this great lady of the mystery novel, exploring the theme of travel in her novels as well as in her private life. A great traveller and archaeology enthusiast, Agatha Christie set many of her novels' scenes in parallel with her own peregrinations. From the English coast to the banks of the Nile, from the French Riviera to Iraq, her journeys shaped the universe of her books. Free admission exhibition from Tuesday 24 November 2026 to Wednesday 6 January 2027, during the media library's opening hours. This event is part of "A la recherche d'Agatha Christie dans les bibliothèques du sud-ouest parisien" (7th, 14th, 15th and 16th arrondissements). We would like to thank our partners who made the organisation of this exhibition possible: the "bibliothèque des littératures policières" (Bilipo), the "bibliothèque historique de la Ville de Paris", the "Médiathèque Musicale de Paris-Christiane Eda-Pierre", the "bibliothèque de l'Hôtel de Ville" and the "bibliothèque du Cinéma François Truffaut". On the occasion of the exhibition, we also offer:

• A special "Samedi Lectures" session on Agatha Christie: Saturday 5 December at 10:30 am.
• A special Virtual Reality and video games session focused on enigmas and investigations: Saturday 5 December at 2 pm.
• A board game evening - investigations, puzzles and other mysteries: Friday 11 December at 7 pm.
