Deux jours pour mieux comprendre l'industrie pornographique et ses violences

As the French Bukkake trial approaches, the first major criminal case targeting the mainstream pornography industry in France, the Théâtre de la Concorde hosts two days of debates, creation, and reflection dedicated to filmed sexual violence, the mechanisms that enable its circulation, and the collective responsibilities it raises.

What do we see when we look at these images? And what do we choose to ignore? In a few months, the French Bukkake trial will open at the Assizes.

The facts revealed, notably by Lorraine de Foucher's investigation, describe a system of domination involving humiliation and sexual violence perpetrated against women, then massively disseminated online.

Based on various cases, Nadège Cathelineau, Adelaïde Bon, Christelle Taraud, Hélène Devynck, and the entire Collectif Sous nos regards, supported by Groupe Chiendent, propose two days of reflection, debate, and creation around a central question: what is our collective responsibility in the face of this system?

Far from a moral debate, this highlight focuses on the concrete mechanisms that make this violence possible within "slaughter porn": the capitalist logic of the industry, the role of platforms, exploitation systems, attention capture, early exposure and addiction of the youngest, and the place of spectators in this ecosystem.

A weekend to question what we accept to see, consume, or ignore, and to reflect together on individual and collective responsibilities in the face of violence against women produced and mediated here.
