A series of meetings to look at popular culture, and perhaps also our daily lives, in a new way.
A philosopher, professor at Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne University, and a recognised specialist in popular culture and television series, Sandra Laugier has long explored what our favourite fictions reveal about our lives, our values, and our society.
With Philosophie en séries, she proposes taking these stories seriously to reflect on a simple question: what does popular culture teach us about democracy and our way of living together?
Over the course of the sessions, Sandra Laugier converses with film and series creators to cross-reference their perspectives, share ideas, and question our daily lives. These accessible and lively discussions encourage collective thought based on what we watch, love, and share.
This series of meetings is part of the EUPRAXIE project, included in the national ICCARE programme dedicated to cultural and creative industries, and developed with philosopher Thibaut de Saint-Maurice.
