Palais Galliera

Situated on the Chaillot hill, the Palais Galliera, the City of Paris Fashion Museum, is a French Neo-Renaissance style museum located in the 16th arrondissement of Paris.

Through its frequently renewed themed collection exhibitions, the museum showcases a portion of its collections, comprising nearly 200,000 works, among the most important in the world in this field, and tells a story of fashion from the 18th century to the present day. Furthermore, its programme of temporary exhibitions allows visitors to discover different approaches to fashion, between artistic creation and sociocultural phenomenon, and to explore its major figures.

The museum is open to the public during temporary exhibitions — three per year on average — each lasting approximately four to six months.

It is one of the fourteen museums of the City of Paris managed since 1 January 2013 by the public administrative institution Paris Musées.
