About — The place
The National Sports Museum, established in 1963, is a French museum dedicated to the global phenomenon of sport. Its collections comprise over 45,000 objects and 400,000 documents that trace the history of sport from its very origins. After the closure of its exhibition site in the 13th arrondissement of Paris in January 2013, the museum relocated to Nice (Alpes-Maritimes) and reopened its doors on 27 June 2014 in a new dedicated space within the Allianz Riviera stadium.
