About — The venue

La Place is Paris's hip-hop cultural centre, housed beneath the Canopy of Les Halles (1st arrondissement). Conceived as a home for urban cultures, the venue brings together a concert hall, recording and rehearsal studios, and exhibition and workshop spaces. Programming spans the full spectrum of hip-hop — rap, beatmaking, dance, DJing — through concerts, battles, showcases and encounters, with particular attention to the emerging Île-de-France scene. Direct access via Châtelet-Les Halles, at the heart of the metro and RER network.
