The Porte Cailhau (porta deu Calhau in 1450) or Porte du Palais is a city gate in Bordeaux, in the French department of Gironde. It served as both a defensive gate and a triumphal arch (featuring a niche with the king's effigy). It has been classified as a historical monument since 28 May 1883.
