About — The artist
André Peyrègne, born on 6 February 1949 in Saint-Brieuc, is a musician, conductor, musicologist, and lecturer. He has been the director of the Conservatoire à rayonnement régional de Nice since 1980, where he succeeded the organist Pierre Cochereau. Since 2015, he has been the president of the Fédération Française d'Enseignement Artistique, which brings together conservatoires and schools of music, theatre, and dance across France.
