Overview
A heartwarming winter's tale set in the kitchen of an endearing giant, orchestrated by two actresses who take turns as storytellers, singers, and object manipulators. Nestled in a drawer of my memory, a story germinates.
A story drawn from an Oscar Wilde tale, or rather, the bittersweet taste that remained with me: a discontented giant opens his solitary heart to friendship. With selfishness gone, a new season can begin! It is the symbolic power of this memory that guides the show.
It is found in the wordplay, the musicality of words and nursery rhymes, as well as in the sets suggesting nature and its seasons as so many colours and emotions.
The very young will easily identify with this evolving small world that the adult protects, nourishes, and carries in their giant hands.
Accompanied by a ukulele and various percussive instruments, the story is punctuated by playful exchanges with the children and concludes with free exploration of the sets and instruments.
