With Keyvan Chemirani, rhythm becomes a universal language. For many years, the percussionist has forged a unique path between heritage and creation, bringing the tradition of the Persian zarb into dialogue with contemporary sounds. Alongside his brother Bijan, he continues the work of their father Djamchid Chemirani and explores new territories, from Iran to India, from Mediterranean cultures to jazz. With his new album "Tales of Nar", he brings together a rich trio, where percussion converses with the subtle and inspired piano of Benjamin Moussay, a major figure on the French jazz scene. Timbres respond to each other, pulsations unfold, and compositions fully embrace improvisation. A sonic journey where traditions and modernity meet, carried by the finesse of their exchanges, which will find a natural setting at the Théâtre de Fontblanche to reveal its full depth.
