J'Oublie Tout

Julien, a young boy from the south of France, hears the rapper Jul on the radio for the first time. He becomes a fan of his music, his messages, his lifestyle. He, the young 'scrap yard dog', identifies with the Marseille artist who becomes a real lifeline.

Through his journey, the show sensitively addresses the quest for identity, the gaze of others, and the burning desire to exist when one doesn't quite feel they belong.

With minimalist staging – a camping chair, a can of Oasis, a speaker – the character's world is sketched out even before he speaks: simplicity, fragility, humour... and the poetry of everyday life.

Neither a biography nor a tribute, the show uses Jul as a backdrop to talk about an entire generation seeking to define itself in a world where dreams sometimes seem inaccessible. An intimate and universal story, in which many young people will be able to recognise themselves.
