Between solo pieces, intimate duets, and improvised flights of fancy, the artists explore South American and Serbian sounds. A lively, rhythmic, and warm journey for two guitars, at the crossroads of classical and traditional music.

Tizoc Romero and Wiliam Marcil Bouchard present a two-guitar concert that invites a journey through different cultures, traditions, and musical universes.

The programme brings together works of South American and Serbian inspiration, music with distinct rhythms, as well as moments of improvisation, highlighting the richness and diversity of the guitar.

Alternating solo pieces and duo interpretations, the two musicians explore a wide range of colours and sonorities, moving from the finesse of the classical repertoire to the energy of traditional and popular music.

The dialogue between their two instruments also leaves significant room for spontaneity and improvisation. A lively and eclectic concert, where tradition and musical freedom meet to offer the audience a warm, rhythmic, and discovery-filled experience.

From a young age, William Marcil-Bouchard developed a passion for the guitar, inspired by his uncle and the rhythms of Brazilian samba.

Born in Montreal, he is currently pursuing his concert studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna (MDW), after having studied with the great guitarist Alvaro Pierri.

Through his concerts in Canada and Europe, he has developed a rich musical openness spanning classical music, jazz, improvisation, and composition.

A recipient of several awards, he has notably won 2nd prize twice at the National Canadian Music Competition and is a scholarship holder of the Yehudi Menuhin “Live Music Now” foundation.
