Frantz

They are five. Five actors trained at the Jacques Lecoq International Theatre School, masters in the art of movement, singing, mime and sound effects. With delightful inventiveness, they bring Frantz to life, the story of a young man whose daily life is turned upside down by the disappearance of his father. Using simple objects – paper, plastic bags, buckets of water, sheet metal or drills – they create striking soundscapes and a rich visual universe live on stage. Every sound becomes an emotion, every object a character, every gesture an invitation to travel. Between object theatre, music and artisanal cinema, Frantz unfolds an astonishingly rich imagination where humour and poetry constantly intertwine. Accessible to the whole family, this show of rare creativity celebrates the power of play and the magic of theatre. A sensory and inventive adventure that amazes as much as it moves.
