Gypsy Jazz — Fanou Torracinta, a Corsican virtuoso, has established himself on the gypsy jazz scene with sensitive playing and unwavering conviction, promising an unforgettable afternoon.

Corsican guitarist Fanou Torracinta has progressively made a name for himself in gypsy jazz thanks to his talent, sensitivity, and strong artistic personality. After his debut with the Corsican Trio, his collaborations with Tchavolo Schmitt, and two albums, he now presents his third opus, La Belle vie. The album is built on the close collaboration of his faithful quartet and blends eight personal compositions with five covers, notably by Sacha Distel and Django Reinhardt. Influenced by Django without seeking to imitate him, Torracinta prioritises lyricism, gentleness, and emotion, while also incorporating the influence of his Corsican roots. Some tracks are accompanied by a string quartet, adding a delicate chamber music touch. La Belle vie thus asserts a personal, elegant, and sensitive style, at the crossroads of gypsy jazz, swing, and Corsican musical traditions.
