Five women (or almost) burst onto the stage with raw truth. One by one, then together, they break silences, unearth intimate feelings, shatter taboos in a funny and offbeat way, and give voice to what we dare not say. VIRIL(E·S) stems from an intimate and collective observation: behind displays of strength, behind silences and postures, there is often an unacknowledged need for love. Marie Mahé here questions this virility that is displayed, performed, sometimes imposed, like armour. Not to condemn it, but to explore its flaws, its wounds, its origins. Virility is not just a matter of gender; it is also a social construct deeply linked to context: family environment, group pressure, precariousness, invisible legacies. The show attempts to draw a thread between generations, between social backgrounds, between identities. To say that, despite our differences, we all share the same necessity: to be loved, recognised, and accepted as we are.
