Une Mouette

Cross-overs between art and life. A writer convinces an actress to perform his adaptation of Anton Tchekhov’s La Mouette. Short on funds but not on audacity, he had to reduce his cast to two performers to stage his show; she isn’t afraid of the challenge and accepts the adventure. They will sing, rehearse, and, as in a Tchekhov play, they will laugh, cry, talk, find each other, drift apart, ignite… We will witness their cross-overs, the incessant and organic shifts between their lack of love and their desire for the absolute, between their art and their life. The journey of two passionate artists who take on a crazy challenge and pay a fervent tribute to theatre. An original creation to discover for the first time at Lucernaire.
