His entire life was marked by oxymorons. He was an adventurer in love with freedom, who thrived best when serving a cause greater than himself – Aéropostale, for example. He was a dreamer who found fulfilment in action.
A sensitive loner, who was never happier than when surrounded by his friends. He was an impulsive thinker, and a philosophical adventurer.
He sublimated his torments, first by flying, and above all by writing his masterpieces which blend poignant narratives and very incisive reflections. For him, others do not diminish us: they enhance us. He taught us that we cannot predict the future, only enable it.
