As a child, Germaine Aziz used to pick her up from her dance class and take her on holiday. Between the little girl and the adult woman, few words were exchanged, the modesty of a heartbreaking story that remained silent to make way for the light of shared moments. It was in an autobiographical account that Germaine lifted the veil on her past. A native of Oran, the orphan was sold and then prostituted during years of forced sequestration. A youth cloistered in a brothel, which ended as an animal journalist for Libération. It was only after Germaine's death that Élise confronted this burning book.
