After more than six decades dedicated to soul music, Lee Fields, an essential figure of the genre, will make his grand return next year with a new album and an exceptional tour across France, stopping on February 11 at the Élysée Montmartre in Paris.

After early days marked by numerous singles and collaborations, he gradually established himself as one of the great survivors of American soul.

After a difficult period in the 1980s, during which he even considered giving up music, Lee Fields experienced a true revival from the late 1990s with "Let's Get a Groove On" then "Problems" in 2002.

His meeting with producer Leon Michels and the musicians of The Expressions marked a new turning point in his career.

Together, they released "My World" (2009), then "Faithful Man" (2012), two critically acclaimed albums that largely contributed to making Fields one of the major figures of the contemporary soul revival.

The collaboration with The Expressions continued with "Emma Jean" (2014), "Special Night" (2016), and especially "It Rains Love" (2019), a particularly introspective and spiritual album where Fields explores with great sincerity the themes of love, faith, and the human condition.

In 2022, he returned with "Sentimental Fool," his first album on Daptone Records, once again confirming his ability to keep timeless soul alive while continuing to reinvent himself. Beyond his own discography, Lee Fields has also played an important role in the transmission of sou
