Overview
An edifying and historical dive into the night of the abolition of privileges. The different social classes are brought together to ponder the future. It is a state with a chronic deficit, where the wealthiest escape taxation. A regime on its last legs.
A people at their wits' end, demanding justice and seeing nothing happen. A rich but stagnant country, subject to the whims of a disrupted climate. Such was France in 1789. Until, in one night, in Versailles, everything changed: the Night of 4 August.
In a four-sided space, Maxime Pambet, the sole actor on stage, embodies a dozen characters. A gripping narrative that gives the feeling that History has suddenly accelerated.
