Presented by Espace Culturel Mairie Vendenheim 3-10122373 Franck Wolf & Friends, now closing the “En-cas de jazz” festival in January at Le Diapason, enjoyed undeniable success in 2026.

Both evenings were sold out and concluded with a surge of general enthusiasm from the audience, musicians, and organisers alike… True to his love for collaborations, sometimes unprecedented, Franck invites you for this 2027 edition, the fourteenth, to discover the following wonderful artists.

In the first part of the evening (8pm): With African Variations, strings intertwine, rub, and vibrate in unison thanks to Chérif Soumano’s kora, and Sébastien Giniaux’s guitar and cello.

A fabulous expression of virtuosity in an improvisational space between France and Mali, between tradition and invention. A project that is not lacking in ambition, as after two duo albums, they now perform as a trio with saxophonist Franck Wolf.

After the interval: Charlotte Planchou, a stage artist, a deeply expressive performer who makes simplicity a strength. Her free and fluid repertoire, which she weaves between jazz, song, and poetry, follows the messages she conveys, the emotions she wishes to explore.

In 2024, following the release of her second album “le Carillon” alongside pianist Mark Priore, she was named “Vocalist of the Year” in the Best of Jazz Magazine, awarded the “Prix Évidence” by the Académie du Jazz, and received a “Coup de Coeur” from the Académie Charles Cros.

Franck will write some arrangements on titles chosen together for a formation this year composed of Matthieu Zirn on drums and Gautier Laurent on double bass, both borrowed from the Gregory Ott Trio, the indispensable Guillaume Nuss on trombone, and the discovery Armelle Verguet on saxophones.

They will, of course, be joined by Sébastien Giniaux on guitar and cello, as well as Chérif Soumano on kora for a sparkling finale!
