I almost called this show “Le plaisir” (Pleasure). But then I thought that the only pleasures people would think of with a title like that would be those forbidden to under-18s. However, for financial reasons, I want under-18s to also be able to attend my show. So I called it “Délicieux” (Delicious): it’s a family show. In eighty minutes, I will try to unravel the complexity of what causes pleasure in human beings. Of course, pleasure can come from a glass of Sancerre savoured by the Seine in spring. But it can also be caused by the death of someone you don't like. Of course, an unexpected promotion at work brings joy. But so does eating Camembert in Camembert, or knowing that you don't pronounce the “z” in Avoriaz (which makes you feel superior to all those who don't know it). My goal is for this show to bring you a certain pleasure, in a mise en abyme as delicious as eating Camembert in Camembert. David Castello-Lopes
