Cock Robin [85-89] - On Tour 2027

& Muzivox Cock Robin, the band led by singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Peter Kingsbery, became a true international phenomenon between the mid and late 80s.

Raised in Austin, Texas, Kingsbery began his career in Nashville, Tennessee, in 1974, as a songwriter for Wind Chime Music/Warner Chappell, Larry Henley's record label. His compositions were subsequently recorded by Stephanie Mills and Smokey Robinson.

His keyboard talent then allowed him to work with Brenda Lee, a star from his childhood and a pop and country legend, which led him to tour the entire East Coast and far beyond, all the way to Japan.

After nearly three years in Tennessee, Kingsbery headed west to Los Angeles to perform in clubs (Madame Wongs, The Troubadour), before quickly forming the band Cock Robin (signed to Columbia Records in 1985) with Anna Lacazio, Clive Wright, and Lou Molino III.

The band's career coincided with the birth of MTV and the advent of the 80s scene, which shook up the codes, allowing the band to tour the United States as opening act for The Kinks, Billy Idol, and Bryan Adams.

The band's popularity continued to grow, particularly in Europe where the three albums recorded between 1986 and 1990 were all certified platinum, with the singles “The Promise You Made”, “When Your Heart Is Weak”, “Thought You Were On My Side”, “Just Around The Corner”, “The Biggest Fool Of All” and “Worlds Apart”.

Cock Robin reformed in 2006 with its original members to record two more albums (I Don’t Want To Save The World, Songs From A Bell Tower) before Anna Lacazio's definitive departure from the band.

Kingsbery continued his journey under the band's name, releasing the album *Chinese Driver* in 2016, with more electronic sounds, and touring for two years.
