Overview
After a sold-out 2026 edition, the Bal d'Hiver returns to Le Sonambule to properly kick off the new Trad'Sessions season! For one evening, the venue transforms into a large dance floor where all generations meet, from seasoned dancers to curious newcomers.
Everyone finds their place in this grand winter balèti. To launch this new edition, the quartet Èdra will unleash their “musiques à danser”.
Like the ivy from which it takes its name, the group weaves connections between heritage and contemporary creations, between roots and a drive towards tomorrow. Music crafted for dance and connection.
A second group will complete this evening, promising rondeaux, bourrées, scottishs, and other collective dances that bring bodies and hearts closer together.
The Bal d'Hiver marks the kickoff of the Trad'Sessions, an itinerant season of traditional music that brings together Paloma, Victoire 2, La Moba, Le Cratère, and Le Sonambule around a shared desire: to discover, promote, and keep traditional dance music alive.
