Amour, Gloire et Ciment

Among the tulips and rose bushes, where the grass is always greener, lives a united and joyful community of garden gnomes. Far from being merely decorative, this small world watches over each other, convinced that every day deserves to be celebrated.

Happiness, here, grows when cultivated together. And yet, behind this radiant harmony, Johanny Bert subtly introduces a disturbance. Without naming anyone or waving any banner, the farce reveals, with humour and malice, how certain discourses take root.

Written with author Guillaume Cayet, the play uses the discrepancy between the apparent naivety of these endearing characters and the muffled violence of the ideas they convey.

Puppetry becomes a joyful and formidable weapon, allowing for satire as well as a devilishly salutary distancing.
