Join us for a special open day, on the eve of a season like no other, as IVT will be celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2027! Come and get a sneak peek of the new season, delve into our history, experience workshops and awareness tours, participate in our clearance sale… and share with us what has driven us for half a century.

1. From 10 am to 6:30 pm – Free admission, with LSF/FR interpreters present.

   Whether you are a culture enthusiast, a professional, or simply curious, this day is the ideal opportunity to share a unique moment with us… and even get a glimpse of our next creation! Workshops and tours require mandatory, free reservation:

2. Visit of IVT a.

   10:30 am: visit in French – Departure: meeting point (hall) – 30-45 min – 10 people maximum b. 2 pm: visit in LSF – Departure: meeting point (hall) – 30-45 min – 10 people Immerse yourself in the history of IVT, from its foundation to its establishment in Cité Chaptal, through a guided tour offered in French Sign Language or spoken French.

3. Storytelling workshop for children in LSF 11:30 am – Meet at the meeting point (hall) – 45 min – Ages 6 and up – 15 people maximum In the company of a Deaf artist, children rediscover their favourite stories in LSF and learn a few signs to be able to tell them in turn.

4. Children's game-tour in LSF a.

   10:45 am – Departure from the training stand (hall) – 30 min – Ages 6 and up – 10 people maximum b. 4:45 pm – Departure from the training stand (hall) – 30 min – Ages 6 and up – 10 people maximum A fun tour led by the Deaf trainers from the Training department to allow children to dive into sign language.

5. Awareness tour of Deaf culture a.

   12:15 pm – Departure from the training stand (hall) – 30 min – Ages 16 and up – 10 people maximum b. 3:30 pm – Departure from the training stand (hall) – 30 min – Ages 16 and up – 10 people maximum An immersion to understand what it means “not to hear” and to discover Deaf culture with our trainers.

6. Theatre workshop 3 pm – Meet at the meeting point in the hall – 30 min – Ages 6 and up – 15 people maximum A workshop to understand how to tell a story or convey emotions through body movements and facial expressions.
