Zénith de Toulouse

The Zénith de Toulouse Métropole is an entertainment venue located at 11, avenue Raymond-Badiou, in the TOEC district of Toulouse, near the A620 E09. It is served by the ring road (exit 29) and public transport, close to the Arènes metro station (Line A and numerous bus lines), Cartoucherie (Line 45) and by tram lines T1 and T2 at the Zenith stop. Access is facilitated by a car park with 3,000 spaces (the largest in Toulouse), organised around concentric landscaped avenues.

Completed and inaugurated on 17 April 1999, it was for almost nine years the largest Zénith in France with a capacity of 9,000 spectators, until the inauguration on 3 January 2008 of the Zénith de Strasbourg, which dethroned it with a capacity of 12,000 seats. This versatile hall is modular and can adapt to any audience size, from 2,000 people. Adaptations are made by manipulating mobile curtains to create different capacities.

Jean-Pierre Mader was the artistic director of the inauguration evening, staging and sound-engineering more than twenty artists from the pink city. Actor and singer Ticky Holgado was the master of ceremonies for the evening, during which les Chevaliers du fiel, Pauline Ester, Bernardo Sandoval and the Orchestre de chambre national de Toulouse, conducted by Alain Moglia, performed. Musical figures from the pink city such as Claude Nougaro, Pierre Groscolas, Jean-Pierre Mader, Art Mengo or the groups Gold and Images also participated in this evening.

In conflict with the municipality of Toulouse at the time, the group Zebda refused the invitation.

In 2014, an addition of 2,000 seats allowed the venue to become the second largest Zénith in France in terms of capacity with 11,000 seats. On 23 and 24 October, Stromae inaugurated this "new" venue, selling out both dates.
