About — The place

The Musée de Montmartre is a French art museum located in the Montmartre district, in the 18th arrondissement of Paris. It is housed within a complex of buildings including the Hôtel Demarne, the Maison du Bel Air, as well as the studio-apartment of Suzanne Valadon and Maurice Utrillo. Inaugurated in 1960, the museum was redeveloped starting in 2011 to allow for the programming of two temporary exhibitions per year. The museum's permanent collection traces the history of Montmartre and its artists.
