Orange Vélodrome

The Stade Vélodrome, known as CEPAC Vélodrome due to a naming rights agreement, is a sports venue located in the 8th arrondissement of Marseille (Bouches-du-Rhône), in the Saint-Giniez district. As the city's main sports facility and France's second-largest stadium by capacity (67,394 seats), the Vélodrome has been used by the Olympique de Marseille football club since its inauguration in 1937.

Initially with 35,000 seats, the stadium has hosted, in addition to football, cycling races (the velodrome track was removed in the 1980s), rugby league matches (France national team and Marseille XIII, a club created by Paul Ricard in 1946), matches of the France national rugby union team, which has only lost twice there, as well as certain final phase matches of the French Rugby Union Championship and RC Toulon, not to mention large-scale concerts.

The stadium underwent several expansions during the 20th century. For the 1998 FIFA World Cup, the venue was expanded to 60,000 seats and its roof was removed. It was reinstated for the UEFA Euro 2016 championship, with an increased capacity of 67,394 spectators. Since 2014, the stadium meets the criteria for Category 4 in the UEFA stadium classification.
