About — The venue

Espace Paris Plaine is a Parisian theatre located at 13 rue du Général-Guillaumat, within a cultural and sports complex situated between Porte Brancion and Porte de la Plaine, on the edge of the périphérique in the 15th arrondissement of Paris.

This building, constructed by the City of Paris and completed in 1972, combines architectural concrete, ceramics, and glass. The Italian-style performance hall has a capacity of 280 seats.

Since its opening in 1973, the Théâtre de la Plaine, now Espace Paris Plaine, has offered a Young Audience season. Cécile Reiff Junqua directs this former district venue, renowned in the 1970s, with a programme that, depending on the year, blends theatre, puppet theatre, musicals, circus, and song. In 2025, Marion Dufranc will succeed Cécile Reiff Junqua as director of the establishment and programming manager.

In 1980, the theatre became a district theatre directed by Régis Santon.
