Cité Internationale des Arts

The Cité internationale des arts, a foundation recognised as being of public utility, is an artists' residency located in Paris (France), whose mission is to foster the research and creative work of international contemporary artists across all disciplines: visual arts, music, performing arts, architecture, and writing.

Inaugurated in 1965, it boasts 310 studio-apartments, spread across two sites – one in the Marais and the other in Montmartre – which host approximately 1,000 artists each year, making it the largest artists' residency in the world.

Its reputation and international professional network make it a key player in Parisian, French, and international creation. It is thus regularly cited as one of the best artists' residencies in the world, both as an institution and for some of its programmes.
