About — The place
The Bordeaux Maritime History Museum is a private museum located in Bordeaux, in the Gironde department, France.
Opened in 2017, in association with the Bordeaux Wine and Trade Museum, its objective is to showcase the history of the port of Bordeaux through the personalities and family lines that contributed to its development. Thanks to a permanent exhibition made up of collection pieces from Bordeaux families and a thematic journey, the museum pays tribute to twenty centuries of Bordeaux's maritime history.
