About — The artist
Patrick Loiseau, born on June 8, 1949, in Limoges (Haute-Vienne), is a French singer-songwriter, painter, and photographer. He is married to singer Dave, for whom he is the dedicated lyricist.
Patrick Loiseau met Dave in 1971. The first song he wrote for him was Un rocher sur ton île. But it was his adaptation of The Rubettes' Sugar Baby Love into Trop beau that established Patrick as Dave's dedicated lyricist, having written almost all of his songs and designed numerous album covers for him.
In the 1980s, he tried his hand as a singer before focusing on his activities as a lyricist. He has notably written for Demis Roussos, Jeane Manson, Richard Anthony, Françoise Hardy, Sylvie Vartan, Hélène Ségara, Plastic Bertrand, Guy Bonnardot, and Récréation.
