Meryem Benoua, born in 1994 in Casablanca, is a French media personality, comedian, and stand-up artist.
Invited to an episode of the show C'est mon choix in 2017, she uttered the phrase “Je suis pas venue ici pour souffrir, ok?” (I didn't come here to suffer, okay?), the tone and humour of which created an internet buzz. This earned her instant media celebrity.
She leveraged this fame to launch a career as a comedian and stand-up artist, subsequently frequenting various humour festival stages and comedy clubs.
