About — The artist
Louis Bertignac, or simply Bertignac, born on February 23, 1954, in Oran, French Algeria, is a French singer, musician, lyricist, and guitarist. He was the co-founder of the French rock band Téléphone, with whom he sold nearly six million records. He began a solo career in 1986. From 2015 to 2017, he formed the group Les Insus with Jean-Louis Aubert and Richard Kolinka for concerts and tours where they performed Téléphone's repertoire, without using the band's name, given the absence of bassist Corine Marienneau.
He was a jury member from 2014 to 2015 on the French version of The Voice Kids and from 2012 to 2013 on The Voice, broadcast on TF1.
He is also known for playing his favourite guitar: a 1963 Gibson SG junior, restyled, repaired, and modified from 22 to 24 frets.
