Kristin Hersh (born August 7, 1966) is a famous and prolific American singer-songwriter who performs acoustic solo concerts. She was also the singer and guitarist in the alternative rock band Throwing Muses and is currently the leader of the punk-influenced power pop trio: 50 Foot Wave.
Her best-known songs are Your Ghost and Bright Yellow Gun, both of which achieved commercial success in the United States in the mid-1990s.
