About — The artist
Gérard Pape (born April 22, 1955, in Brooklyn) is an American contemporary music composer and psychologist. He was a student of David Winkler, George Cacioppo, William Albright, and George Balch Wilson. In France, he directed the Ateliers UPIC (which became CCMIX) from 1991 to 2007. In 2008, he founded the electronic music ensemble CLSI (Cercle pour la Libération du Son et de l'Image) in Paris.
