French Montana

French Montana, real name Karim Kharbouch, born on 9 November 1984 in Casablanca (Morocco), is a Moroccan-American rapper, producer, and entrepreneur. He is the founder of the Coke Boys Music label, and its predecessor Cocaine City Records. In 2012, he signed a joint venture deal with Bad Boy Records and Maybach Music Group (MMG). He is known for his collaborations with artists such as Harry Fraud, Max B, Rick Ross, Diddy, and MMG and Bad Boy members like Chinx, Lil Durk, and his brother Zack.

Immigrating to the United States with his family at the age of 13, he survived a gunshot wound to the head in 2003. He released his first mixtape in 2007, as well as his debut album, Excuse My French, on 21 May 2013. In 2010, he achieved success with "Choppa Choppa Down", a song popularised by local radio stations and clubs in the Southern United States. In 2012, his single "Shot Caller" became one of the most played songs on urban contemporary radio stations nationwide. In 2014, French Montana became the partner of Khloé Kardashian, from whom he separated in mid-2015; he was also the partner of rapper Trina and actress Sanaa Lathan. Primarily known for his mixtapes, he has been dubbed by the specialised press as the "King of Mixtapes" and the "King of Featurings".
