About — The artist
Élisabeth Bouchaud (née Tibi) is a French physicist, actress, and playwright, born on March 1, 1961, in Tunis. She was an employee of the French Atomic Energy Commission (Commissariat à l'énergie atomique) and taught at the École supérieure de physique et de chimie industrielles de la ville de Paris (ESPCI). Since 2015, she has directed the Théâtre de la Reine Blanche in Paris. In 2019, she founded the Théâtre Avignon-Reine Blanche in Avignon, and the acting school La Salle Blanche, with Florient Azoulay and Xavier Gallais. These two theatres and the school together form Les Scènes Blanches.
