Dexys Midnight Runners (sometimes referred to as Dexys) is a British pop group, with soul influences via northern soul, which existed from 1978 to 1986 and reformed in 2003.
Their name is usually written as “Dexys”, without an apostrophe, instead of “Dexy's” which would nonetheless be the correct spelling. The full name of this group has sometimes been: “Kevin Rowland & Dexys Midnight Runners”, with Kevin Rowland having been the leader of the group.
