About — The artist
Carl Craig (born May 22, 1969) is an American musician, DJ, and producer of electronic and jazz music. He is considered one of the major figures of the second wave of Detroit techno. He founded his record label Planet E in 1996.
His pseudonym Paperclip People is probably inspired by Operation Paperclip. It was under this pseudonym that Carl Craig collaborated with the German duo Basic Channel. He is a member or former member of the groups The Detroit Experiment, Incogdo (with Derrick May), Innerzone Orchestra, and Urban Tribe.
