About — The artist
Caravan Palace is a French electronic music group, formed in 2005.
It originated from the collaboration of three electronic music composers, Arnaud Vial, Charles Delaporte, and Hugues Payen, driven by a shared passion for Gypsy jazz. In February 2005, they began composing electro-swing tracks (a portmanteau of electronic and swing), a genre in which they are considered pioneers. Initially instrumental, the group met Sonia Fernandez Velasco in 2006, who would become their singer under the stage name Zoé Colotis (or Colotis Zoé, named after a butterfly from Madagascar).
The group's first album was released in October 2008 by Wagram Music.
