Bashar Murad (Arabic: بشار مراد; born February 7, 1993) is a Palestinian singer, songwriter, video artist, and activist based in East Jerusalem. His music addresses societal norms, life in occupied territory, and gender equality in the Middle East. He is primarily known for his collaboration with Icelandic techno-punk band Hatari on the song Klefi / Samed (صامد), released shortly after Hatari raised the Palestinian flag during the Eurovision 2019 final in Tel Aviv. Bashar Murad released his debut EP Maskhara in June 2021.
