About — The artist
Athena is a Turkish ska-punk band from Istanbul. Athena was formed by twin brothers Gökhan Özoğuz and Hakan Özoğuz in 1987. They began their musical career in a metal band before moving towards ska.
The band represented Turkey at the 49th Eurovision Song Contest, held in Istanbul, Turkey. They finished in 4th place.
