About — The artist
Ange is a French progressive rock band, originating from Belfort, Héricourt, and Vesoul, in Franche-Comté. Formed in late 1969, it was initially created by Christian Décamps and Jean-Michel Brézovar, quickly joined by Francis, Christian's brother.
In its early days, the band's music was inspired by medieval-fantasy texts integrated into progressive rock. The group has undergone numerous changes in musicians. Led by Christian Décamps and his son Tristan, the band continues its activity after Francis Décamps' retirement in 1995. Throughout its existence, it has accumulated six gold records and sold over six million albums.
