Overview
In commemoration of the centenary of T.R. Mahalingam, the renowned flautist who revolutionised the art of Carnatic flute.
R. A. Jayant has brought together a group of his most gifted students for this historic European tour, his “Flute Ensemble”. This is the first time an ensemble of five Carnatic flautists has performed on the continent.
For this unique celebration, they are joined on stage by percussionists Sairam Sundaram - Mridangam and Roopak Rajgopa Kallurkar - Tabla. In collaboration with the Triveni association.
