Paul lives in a flatshare with Marie, whom he made believe, following a big misunderstanding, that he was gay. As he doesn't tend to say the right things at the right time, his lie will follow him throughout the play and make him manipulative. Problem: he is in love with Marie and doesn't know how to tell her. He will try by all means to thwart his flatmate's dates without any scruples.

Marie is Paul's flatmate. Full of kindness, she wants the best for her flatmate. She organises romantic dates without realising for a single moment that he is in love with her. Clumsy and a little naive, she will give Paul a hard time, even though he regularly gives her opportunities...
